DRV8323: Consideration if you don't use DRV8323 buck converter

Part Number: DRV8323
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54260

I have decided not to use the internal stepdown converter of DRV8323.

The reason is the limited current 0,6A. We have chosen dedicated converter - TPS54260. it transfers the system 36V to 15V/2A DC.

For Vref we have chosen =3V . According to datasheet, it should be enough

My question is.

Do we need to consider something if we go with this system configuration? - , e.g. Power sequence, under/over voltage lockout

  • MIrtcho,

The Buck circuit is completely separate from the remaining DRV8323 circuitry, only GND is shared. Do you plan to use the non-R version (no buck) in the future or will you continue to use the R version?

If you are not using the buck, it is recommended to GND the input pins and nSHDN pin to make sure it stays off.

    Regards,
