DRV8889-Q1: For New Development

Hello ,

I am going to use IC - DRV8889 to operate Stepper Motor for my New Project Development.

When I have searched this part in distributor list, It will not shown any of them. On TI page it shows "DRV8889-Q1 (PREVIEW)" . Please see the attachment. So what is the Meaning of this sentence.

Can I use this part for my new Development?

From where I can Purchase this Part for long term?

Hi Alpesh,

Please refer to the Package Option Addendum in the datasheet.

"PREVIEW: Device has been announced but is not in production. Samples may or may not be available."

This device is intended for new developments. Samples are currently available.

Hello Rick,

Thanks for the Response.

As per your Reply, I can use this part for my new product development but how soon I will expect this product is in market So I should make decision for this Part to use in development.
