DRV8308: Brushless drill motor driver schematic review

Hello,

I made a few of these boards to drive a brushless drill motor, and would like a review of the schematic. I am currently driving the board with jumpers from the DRV8308evm kit.

No, it's a single layer pdf.

I've been connecting the headers on the board to the jumpers on the DRV8308evm board for controls

Daniel,

I see you're using the IRS2003 between the DRV8308 and your FETs, can you explain why? We drive FETs like yours directly from the DRV8308 usually.

Are you driving a normal BLDC motor or something else?

The IRS2003 as a predriver was from a prior design. I left pads in to jumper around the IRS2003 in case it wasn't needed. Would you recommend trying it without the IRS2003 in the path?

The motor is a seemingly normal three phase BLDC with hall sensors.

Dan,

There is no reason to use these IRS2003 devices. Please try it without as the IRS2003 will actually interfere with the DRV operation.
