My customer is considering LM48580 and has a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

I tested the Piezoelectric Sounder does not support sine wave, therefore sound quality is not good.

Especially low frequency(<500Hz) has bad distortion.

So I'm looking for the Piezoelectric Sounder sine wave supported.

Could you please let me know what type of Piezoelectric sounder you confirmed or assumed.

Specific model name and manufacturer is helpful.

Hi, Shinichi-san,

I would recommend to take a look at the AAC piezo devices. They have a catalogue full of this kind of devices.

The devices from the DMSP family seem to fully support the application that you mentioned.

But DMSP series are dynamic speaker, not the Piezoelectric Sounder sine wave supported.

I would recommend to contact some of our Piezo Vendors for specific details about Piezoelectric sounders:

They could provide additional information and point you to the best actuator for the customer applications.

Hi Luis,

I could get the customer's application information.

The application is handy tranceiver.

Now I am thinking about using piezo.

So I am looking for it, but I can't find suitable one.

The device RU2334LK50N1(TDK) is usable, but it will be discontinued.

I attached the requirement of piezo, could you please see below.

Lower limit of frequency is below 500Hz.
Sound pressure level is over 80dB.
The thickness is less than 25mm.

I think it's difficult to satisfy all.

The priority is 2>1.

Regarding 3, the thickness of piezo elements is usually less than 25mm, should be no problem.
