Hello, I am looking to drive a 7-pole pair motor with FOC to approximately 8000 RPM, at approx 45A. I have decided to use the DRV8323RS, and was recommended the F280049C as a microcontroller by TI support, but have not been able to find a hardware abstraction layer for this microcontroller. Should I be looking at the F2806x (Probably the F28069F?), or are there plans to support the F280049C? My overall project goals are lowest development time.

There's a driverlib for the F28004x in C2000Ware. We also have the C2000Ware MotorControl SDK which contains a copy of C2000Ware plus some motor control related libraries and example applications. No examples specifically for the DRV8323RS, but it still should be a good starting point.

Will the code be essentially identical, e.g. just porting over the existing code for the F28069M launchpad, or will it require more intensive development? Will the F28069F be a sufficient chip for my application? If so that would be ideal, as I want to have to write as little code as possible for my motor controller to be able to focus more on other apects.

You'd be starting with code for F2806x and going to F28004x? It depends somewhat on how you've written your code--were you using InstaSPIN or mostly the header files from controlSUITE/C2000Ware?
