DRV8889-Q1: Internal pull down resistance and pull up resistance

Part Number: DRV8889-Q1

Hello team, This is Ochi.

I have two questions about internal resistances. Could you tell me the questions below?

a) As shown in figure 18, logic-level input pin diagram, I saw a pull down resistance is typ. 200  kilo-ohm. Please show me the minimum and the maximum resistance.

b) In figure 19, logic-level with internal pull-up input pin diagram, there is 10 micro-A just below DVDD. Could you tell me this meaning? Is there a constant pull-up resistance or a constant-current circuit?

I am looking forward your reply.

Best regards,

Ochi.

  • Hi Ochi-san,

    a) As shown in figure 18, logic-level input pin diagram, I saw a pull down resistance is typ. 200  kilo-ohm. Please show me the minimum and the maximum resistance.

Minimum resistance is 50kOhm (Iih2 max of 100uA @5V) . Maximum resistance is not listed and we will have to investigate. Expect an answer by Tuesday.

    b) In figure 19, logic-level with internal pull-up input pin diagram, there is 10 micro-A just below DVDD. Could you tell me this meaning? Is there a constant pull-up resistance or a constant-current circuit?

This is a constant current source that varies from a min of 8uA to a max of 12uA

  • Ochi,

The pull down resistor's minimum and the maximum resistance can be estimate from the input logic-low current min and max number. The tolerance is about +/-20%.

Figure 19 shows the pull-up circuit is not a resistor, it is a 10uA current source.
