DRV8711: DRV8711 overcurrent problem

Part Number: DRV8711

Hi Team,

Customer is experiencing an issue need your help.

Current-sense resistor is 0.01 ohm, drive voltage 24V, mos tube CSD18531. The BOCP and UVLO errors are reported after the drive motor has been running for a while. Customer clear flag is still the same.

Thanks.

  • Hi Annie,

If it is possible, can you send me the following information:

    1. The schematic and layout of the board the customer was using when the errors occurred.

    2. A waveform screenshot using the nFAULT pin as the trigger and showing the current at Bout and voltage at VM. If possible, I would like to see what occurs before and after the nFAULT was triggered.

    3. The values of the registers after the errors occurred.

    Hi Team,

The customer is experiencing below issue and needs your help.

    ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Check resistance is 0.01 Euro, drive voltage is 24V, MOS transistor CSD18531, drive motor running for a period of time began to report BOCP and UVLO errors, clear the mark bit is the same. We also hope to point out which direction to look for the problem.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Annie,

I need to know a little more about what is happening with the registers when the errors occur. Can you obtain values of the register map after the error occurs? It will help me give you a better answer if I have that information.

  • Hi,

I have not heard back from you. Has your issue been resolved?

  • Hi Pablo,

The customer did not give me any response. You are able to close this thread now. Once there is feedback, I will let you know.

    Thanks.
