Hi,

I want to make 25A - 30A output current motor driver with the DRV8703-Q1 gate driver.

How can I calculate the output current with gate driver and FETS, and could you recommend the FET parts to make output current 25A - 30A?

    Hi Garam,

    If you look at section 8.2.2 (Detailed Design Procedure) of the the datasheet, it gives useful equations to help with external FET selection, IDRIVE configuration, and VDS configuration. Equation 9 can be used to calculate the minimum V_DSFET for a specified I_VDS value. 

    Please use that section to help you with the FETs selection process.
