Hello,

RMS current is mostly due to thermal management, Peak current is due to protections like overcurrent and similar.

These questions depend on the driver selected, whether it is internal or external FET, etc.

Can you give us some details of your application or the driver selected?

Like the DRV8350H-EVM,It's RMS current is 15A,It's peak current is 20A only,so how can i improve the peak current ?It's decided teams are thermal management and overcurrent of software?

Hello,

The limitation on the EVM is the PCB traces and input/output connectors. This cannot be improved without designing your own board.
