DRV8350R: PWM Independent Mode

Hi

we planning to use the DRV835RH and need to clarify some things

as described the TDRIVE MOSFET Gate Drive Control consist of three Components

1. Dead-time Insertion

-> not possible in Independent Mode (chapter 8.3.1.1.4).

2. dV/dt gate turnon prevention

->is this feature possible/active in Independent Mode??

3. gate-fault detection

->is this feature possible/active in Independent Mode??

    Rolf,

    1. There is no dead-time monitoring or insertion in Independent mode.
    2. Dv/Dt gate turn on prevention is used to make sure that the low side FET is held OFF while the high side FET is operated. This feature is by definition not enabled in Independent mode.
    3. This feature ensures that the commanded gate turns on or off completely by the end of the TDRIVE period and is always enabled in all modes unless it is disabled in SPI.
