Hello Team,

Thanks for your support. I'm Yuta Kurimoto TIJ FAE.

I got a questions about charge pump from our customer.

Q. Can you share the noise test results of the charge pump?

This is because our customer has concern about charge pump noise. In some country, noise requirement is very strict. so Customer have to use bootstrap in stead of charge pump. However DRV8340-Q1 don't have bootstrap pin so it may be our disadvantage. If the charge pump noise is so small, it will be no problem.

Yuta,

In normal cases the charge pump does not generate noise so I am unsure what data we can provide you. It would probably be best if you can try an EVM and check the operation yourself.

I understood. Let me ask another question.

Q. Can you let me know the charge pump frequency? If spread spectrum technology is used, please let me know the range of spread spectrum.

Once they know the charge pump frequency, they will be able to taek a measure to pass the noise test.

Kurimoto-San,

The charge pump uses ~400kHz switching frequency with spread spectrum, I am checking if we can provide the spread spectrum variation.

Kurimoto-San,

The average frequency is around 432kHz with +/- 10-12% spread above and below the average.
