Hi,

We have bought couple of DRV8889-Q1EVM boards last month. I have installed DRV8889-Q1 application (Version 1.0.0). I'm using Windows 10 OS laptop. I'm able to control bi-polar stepper motor with DRV8889-Q1 application software Version 1.0.0.

I have upgraded application software to 1.0.7 today. I see that all the menu on right hand side (Motor driver, Driver outputs, Fault Status etc.,) got deactivated. I'm not able to use GUI for any Stepper motor controls. Can you please help me in resolving

Hi Sadashiva,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We have accidentally place developmental GUIs in the Gallery. These GUIs require differ firmware updates to work.

At this time the best approach is to revert to 1.0.0.

Please uninstall version 1.0.7 and reinstall version 1.0.0.

Thanks Rick for clarification.

I'm getting one more error when I click "File -> Program Device".

Hi Sadashiva,

Additional hardware is required to program the device.

The is required, and must be connected to the 14 pin JTAG header. The mcu must be powered by either powering the VBAT supply or connecting the USB cable to the computer.

Without these two connections, the original program will remain in firmware.

So when you revert back the 1.0.0 of the GUI, the EVM should begin working again.
