I'm using DRV8302 driven with 3 PWM signals, to drive one solenoid connected between SH_A and SH_B in order to regulate a bidirectional current, and the phase SH_C drives another solenoid with has one terminal connected to PVDD1.
Our SW will control the 3 PMW in order to have two fixed current into the two solenoid.
The systems works correctly but, sometimes, the mono directional solenoid, connected between SH_C and PVDD1, doesn't work. In particular, the PWM to the input of DRV8302 is present, but no signal is produced by the GH_C and GL_C, while no errors is highlighted by OCTW# or FAULT#.
In order to avoid the charge pump problem, we have limited the PWM to 90% without result.
Reading the DRV8302 datasheet, we have no satisfy the suggestion in 8.1.1, but we think that it should not be the problem, since the solenoid is connected to PVDD1 and the charge pump is not necessary to drive the low side MOSFET.
Could you suggest how to fix the problem?
