Hi user5287685,
There is a limit based on motor voltage, motor inductance, and motor speed.
The step rate appears to be ~13.3kHz, or 6.67kHz full steps/sec.
What is the VM voltage?
What are the motor specifications?
Is the motor designed to operate at this speed?
Hi user5287685,
The current and speed are generally limited by the motor inductance, motor resistance, and system voltage.
When the current does not increase to the desired value, there options are:
1) Increase the voltage
2) Lower the speed
3) Choose a motor with lower inductance/resistance
Do you have a torque/speed curve for the motor?
What is the motor inductance and resistance?
Hi user5287685,
We are glad to hear your matter has been resolved.
The recommended DVDD and AVDD capacitance value is 0.47uF. Typically a +/-50% tolerance including DC bias is acceptable.
Thank you, reply
add question,
Hi user5287685,
The device will attempt to regulate current at a much higher level.
This will probably lead to overcurrent or overtemperature events.
The device should not be damaged, but nFAULT should assert.
