DRV2605L: REG pin capacitor value

Hi,

Greetings.

Our customer is using DRV2605L in their design. However they want to know if they can use a 2.2-uF capacitor on the REG pin instead of the recommended 1-uF capacitor. Could there be any stability or other problems if this were increased to 2.2uF? This is for the sake of reducing Bill of Materials variants.

Hi, Cedrick,

Yes, the 2.2uF capacitor can be used for this regulator. At least 1uF must be used to have the 1.8V properly regulated. So, 2.2uF would work too.
