1. will DRv10987 work by max speed 1200Hz by 24V

2. has to be sat-current for the 5V-coil 47uH 1.1A or can be smaller (about 200-300mA) + or MDWK4040T330MM 33uH Mcoil taiyo-Yuden

1. The max recommended operating range for the DRV10987 is an electrical frequency of 1000Hz.

2. I dont know the answer I will have to check and come back to you.

The 47uH inductor needs to have a sat current of 1.15 A.

Some Ti designs have used for the 47uH inductor a sat current of 0.15 A Taiyo Yuden CB2518T470K // see Design for optimalised TIDA 01493

i want to use DRV10987 like Driver Vacuum Pump with 72000 rpm why I found always max electrical speed for DRV10987 (and all other from family DRV109xx) 1000Hz, when The reg Motorspeed addr1/readonly

MotorPeriod addr2/readonly both can read the more greater frequency

Hi Zbyno,

Thank you for catching that mistake, It should be an inductor with 1.15A Sat current.

The device is capable of driving certain motors faster than 1000 Hz, but we only recommend that customers use it below 1000 Hz because it can become unreliable higher than 1000 Hz.

I have found more AppNotes with the Inductor 47uH 100mA // see TIDA 01585 etc. What stanf-alone DC/dc convertor was used in DRV10987?

I do not understand your question. What do you mean "stanf-alone DC/dc convertor was used in DRV10987?"? This is not a multi-chip module this a custom buck converter.

Hi Michael.

It was very often that in the driver-chip was used buck-convertor what had stand-alone version // for example in DRV8301 was used TPS54160 see page 17 in the datasheet //

It had an idea that we can see what value can have the max. current from buck-convertor // butthe value 1,15A is fast 10x greather than max load on output 5V - 100mA -see datasheet of DRV10987/ page 1 and 8

When it is a custom buck-convertor than the situation looks other.

Hi Zbyno,

Yes some of our other devices do have another device in them. The DRV10987 needed a custom solution and the 1.15 A sat. is needed for this custom buck converter.
