Hello,
I was looking to use the DRV2625 to drive two tied together linear vibrators at the same time. Do you foresee (or have you seen) and downsides/concerns doing this?
Best,
Adam

Hi, Adam,
We recommend to drive 1 LRA per driver. You can drive two LRAs with some limitations, as the device would need to be used in open-loop mode.
You can refer to this previous post for further information. It applies to the DRV2625 too.

Thanks Luis,
Then what haptic driver IC solution or configuration do I need to use to driver two linear vibrators simultaneously with those benefits supported?
Hi, Adam,
Unfortunately, we don't have a single IC solution to support two LRA with the benefits explained in the e2e thread that I mentioned. All our LRA drivers share a similar closed-loop architecture and it cannot be used with multiple loads. As mentioned before, the only solution would be to use the haptics driver in open-loop mode, but its behavior is limited. Two ICs would be needed to handle two LRAs with those benefits.
