DRV8803 is Quad Solenoid/Relay Driver and hard to control the winding current and change the winding current direction.

Could you please propose a stepper Moto driver which is pin to pin compatible with 8803? No matter it’s specific.

Shawn,

DRV8803 has 20 pin SOIC and 16 pin HTSSOP package. It doesn't need to drive the high side FET which requires a charge pump circuit and related pins.

So, I cannot find a pin to pin compatible bipolar stepper motor driver.

Here is our schematic and Digital output connection for you check. Is it correct for a PTO with 6 lead stepper motor application?

How do you connect VCLAMP to VM. It should be connected to VM directly or with a diode.

VCLAMP can be connected to VM directly. I didn't find the issue on your attached schematic.
