DRV10987: Phase to center tap Resistance

Hi guys,

I'm working on DRV10987 configuration but I have a doubt about phase to center tap resistance measurament.

My BLDC motor should have a cable 3 to 10 meters length, so I have to considerate the cable resistance ?

In my application center tap to phase resistance is 0,95 Ohm.

Instead center tap to phase resistance + 10mt cable resistance is 1,8 Ohm.

Hi Michele,

From my understanding of the device you should use the phase resistance + 10 mt cable resistance. I will be checking with my team to get their feedback as well. Can you try and see if it spins your motor with the phase resistance +10mt cable resistance as your programmed motor resistance.
