DRV8873: how to maximum the DRV8873's current ability?

Hi,

customer use DRV8873 to drive motor whose normal current 3.5A and starting current is more than 10A, the IC reset again and again.

their setting and  SCH is as below:

my question is:

Is their any suggestion for the design above? how customer can maximum the current ability of DRV8873?

why IC reset? it's not hot and disable the overcurrent protection as above setting.

    Hi Yuan,

    Current regulation is what gets disabled, overcurrent protection does not get disabled. Also, the overcurrent condition causes an automatic retrying fault.

    I think you are seeing a very large inrush current and the OCP gets hit again and again, resetting due to it being set as a retrying fault.
