DRV2605L: out- short to GND problem

Hi team,

Customer is using DRV2605L, they get problem, the following is the test waveform. I measured the OUT+, OUT- resistance to GND, the OUT+ to GND is 0.8Mohm; OUT- to GND resistance is 1.56Ohm; The waveform shows there is OC protect in the during the operation. And customer could use software to communicate normally with the part. Could you give some comments to this issue? Does this short to GND possible cause by OC or EOS? Customer does not add ESD diode now, does it necessary to let them add ESD diode?

Could you provide more details about this issue?

The OC and EOS protections appear when there's a high current demand on the outputs or the load is below 4 ohms. There's no need to add the ESD diode. But it is necessary to identify the root cause.

Could you provide details about the actuator load you are using? If you replace the unit, do you have the same results?
