DRV8837: Vcc powr supply using 1.8+/-3% DC/DC

Hello team,

Customer want to use system 1.8V DC/DC to provide power supply to DRV8837 Vcc. the accuracy of the DC/DC is 1.8V+/-3%, I see in our datasheet the Vcc recommend is min 1.8V, so does this supply workable for DRV8837?

Hi Will,

1.8V is not working with the -3% tolerance.

Please note the UVLO rising specification in the Electrical Characteristics that states 1.8V is needed to exit.

At 1.8 - 3%, the device may remain in undervoltage lockout.

Even if the device exits undervoltage, small spikes on VCC to 1.7V may cause the device to enter undervoltage lockout.
