Hi,
I want to design an 800W motor driver with the DRV8703-Q1 gate driver.
I designed it by referring to 8 Application and Implementation in the data sheet.
Would you review below.
Input Power source : 24V, max Motor Drive Current 34A (= 800W)
The FET specifications to use are VDSS = 75V, RDS (on) = 4.5mΩ, and ID = 160A.(Absolute Maximum Ratings)
1. External FET Selection : Using the PWM 30KHz or less, FET Qg support with up to 400nC
2. IDRIVE Configuration: When the rising time of 300ns ~ 400ns is applied, IDRIVE value of 162.5 ~ 217mA is calculated.
3. VDS Configuration: If RDS (on) = 3.5mΩ and 35A is OCP, it is calculated as 122.5mV.
4. Current Chopping Configuration: If Av gain is set to 10 and shunt resistance is set to 10mΩ using DRV8703, Vref is applied to 3.55V.
