Hi,
Page 28 of the DRV8340-Q1 datasheet states that "An additional digital dead time (tDEAD) can be inserted and is adjustable through the registers on SPI devices". I interpret that paragraph as the device setting a minimum dead time to prevent shoot-through, and the user can add an additional tDEAD. However, looking through the datasheet it seems like there is always a tDEAD of at least 500ns since there is no option to set it lower or disable it in PWM or independent half-bridge modes.
Is the only option to have a dead time lower than 500ns to run in independent drive mode? My customer needs it to be approx. 5ns.
Thanks,
Antonio
