DRV2605: DRV2605 I2C or PWM mode input different

Part Number: DRV2605

Hi TI:

About DRV2605

By using I2C or PWM mode as input, except I2C mode can save host loading (timer, PWM generating and pin usage)

Any different between them?

If current consumption on DRV 2605 will be different?

Or driving pattern on vibrator will be different?

Thank you

BR/Poki

  • Hi, Poki,

The playback engine is the same for all the modes. The difference is the way to control the output waveform. Even if the input is digital or analog, the required power consumption for the control is negligible compared with the total current consumption. The PWM mode consumes few uA more than the I2C input.

Please let me know if have additional questions or comments.
