DRV2511-Q1: Absolute Maximum Ratings of INTZ pin

Part Number: DRV2511-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2511Q1EVM

I have a question about the abs. maximum rating to the INTZ pin in DRV2511 IC.

It seems there is no more information about that.

From "DRV2511Q1EVM Haptic Solenoid Driver Evaluation Kit.pdf" in page11, there is a recommend electronic circuit that a 3.3V is detected to this pin through a 100k ohm resistance.

Does that mean the INTZ pin cannot be applied a DC voltage than 3.3V?

Our team are considering to use the DRV2511 in our evaluation board, which is powered by a 5V power supply.

If the INTZ can only be used in a voltage up to the 3.3 V, we must add an extra 3.3 power source, and the area of the board have to be wider.

We hope the INTZ pin can work with a 5V power.

  • Hi, Yun,

Thank you for notice this in the datasheet. You are right, the absolute maximum rating is not specified in the datasheet.

However, there's no need to worry about it. The INTZ pin can be pulled up to PVDD.

PVDD + 0.3V would be the absolute maximum voltage.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or comments on this.

    Best regards,
