DRV2667: USB2ANY can be used to custom board on DRV2667?

Part Number: DRV2667
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , USB2ANY

Hi.

We're planning that designing Custom Haptic Device Driver Board with DRV2667.
We'll use other MCU different from Evaluation board(DRV2667EVM-CT)'s one for it.

According to HCC's user guide, we can customize waveform data of RAM in DRV2667 on the DRV2667EVM-CT by USB2ANY via I2C.

Customizing waveform data by HCC + USB2ANY for custom board is valid?

Or it's valid for only Evaluation board?

Thank you.

  • Hi, Yazawa-san,

Yes, it is possible to customize a waveform data of RAM in DRV2667 by accessing to the RAM memory as mentioned in section 7.5.3 of datasheet ( http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/drv2667.pdf#page=16 ).

The haptics control console has a RAM manager that can be easily used to configure and preview the created waveform. This feature is only valid on the evaluation board. However, if you are looking to configure your own waveforms in external boards, you may use our evaluation board in order to get the RAM memory data and test your effects. Then, the RAM memory data can be exported in a file that you may use as reference to configure the RAM memory in your application.

I hope this is clear. Please let me know if you have additional questions or comments.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
