DRV8703-Q1EVM: methods of H-Bridge rush current restraining

Hi ：

We meet a problem that MOSFETs in H-Bridge damaged in Client side,we have sure that is not about OverVoltage、Overheat,maye caused by rush current;The CON J2 may be hot swapped Or shorted

in Client side. We wonder that if there is some method to restrain the rush current in the H-Bridge ? We Set Ichop by Vref-Voltage ,But it can not hold the Peak value of short circuit current

Here is the SCH design ,I am sorry the pic is vague.

is there any current limitter that can hold the peak current in the H bridge ?

Is this the same board that is having SPI write issues?

If it is the same board, the default dead time and drive times may be affecting operation. I recommend fixing the SPI issue, first and then work on this issue.
