I am using the DRV8308 evaluation board with the DRV8308 EVM GUI program from TI. Using this program I am able to drive my BLDC using the open-loop PWM mode, no problem.
When I try to go to closed-loop clock-frequency mode, nothing happens. I then go to the full register map and see that the "SPDMODE" register is set to 1 - PWM. I try to change this value to 0 - FREQ, but the GUI immediately changes it back to 1- PWM. I can't seem to change this register to any other value, the GUI always reverts it back to 1 - PWM. I did verify that I can change other register values and they seem to "stick," it is just this one register that does not allow me to change it.
Any idea what is going on? My register map is attached. Thanks.
