DRV8703-Q1: If the battery is connected in reverse

Part Number: DRV8703-Q1

Hi TI-team

My customer have question.

The microcomputer and DRV8703-Q1 GND are separated on the board.

They use datasheet 7.3.14.8 Reverse Supply Protection.

And the battery is different, but the GND is common.

If the DRV8703-Q1 only battery is connected in reverse, will the IC break ?

Also, what happens if an anti-parallel diode is added between MCU GND and DRV8703-Q1 GND?

Best Regards,
