DRV8800: Please decode

Part Number: DRV8800

  • Hi Peeyush,

    Can you clarify "Please decode"?

What information are you looking for?

From the Packaging Information of the DRV8800 datasheet, this is a DRV8800RTY. In addition to the DRV8800, there is a footnote that states:

    (4) There may be additional marking, which relates to the logo, the lot trace code information, or the environmental category on the device.

  • Hello Rick,

I'm trying to understand the '88K CJFH C'.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Peeyush,

This is lot trace information to allow TI to track the history of the devices.

An example of this type of information can be found here:

  • Hello Rick,

The link did not work for me. I don't see anything. Is it classified information? If not, how do I make sense of these codes? There must be some rules to figure out what each of the info means. Or the general public is not supposed to know?

    Best regards,

  • Hi Peeyush,

The link did not work for me either once I placed it in the reply. Let's try a different route.

Please perform a web search for "site:www.ti.com lot trace information TPS5430DDA". The first result found should be a link to the information above.

The information includes year and month, assembly site, lot trace information, and wafer fab site. As mentioned, this information allows TI to trace the device from wafer fab to final shipment. The decoding of some of the information is not for public consumption.

  • Hello Rick,

    >The first result found should be a link to the information above.
I found the information. Thank you.

    >The decoding of some of the information is not for public consumption.
I get it. Kind of expected.

It was curiosity that got the better of me especially when you see yourself working with the same chip over and everyday, you start to wonder what the **** does rest of the lettering mean.

    Best regards,
    Peeyush Garg
