DRV3245Q-Q1: More info about C-model

Expert 1995 points
Part Number: DRV3245Q-Q1

Hello,

I would like to know more about the C-model. It seems that it basically completes any missing feature from both the existing models (by an additional current amplifier to the A and an additional phase comparator to the C). Does this modification lead to any lack of functionalities somewhere when C is compared to A and B ? In other words, why should I continue to select the B-model when I could have 3-phase comparators and 3 current amplifiers (to address both sensored and sensorless control) with the same size by the C ?

Thanks ahead for an answer.

Regards.

  • Hello,

The functionality of the DRV3245 "C" is similar to that of the "A" device. Both devices feature 3 current sensing channels, however, the "C" device features lower offset drift for higher precision. The phase comparator on the "A" and "C" devices is only accessible over SPI.

The "B" device only has two CSA channels, and instead features 3 real-time digital output pins for the phase comparator.

There is no device variant of the DRV3245Q-Q1 that includes three CSA channels and 3 digital phase comparator outputs.

    Thanks,
    Garrett
