Hello, TI,
I want to build a self-designed drivetrain for an RC model.
For this purpose, I want to use the motor driver DRV8343-Q1.
To select the DC link capacity, etc. I would like to build a PSpice model first.
But I have a problem with the PSpice model, which I have built as shown below:

It seems, that the gate (GHA) does not activate the switch.

I would be very grateful for your help.

Hi Alexander,

It looks like you've connected your main system GND between two 12-volt supplies. This puts the AGND connection of the DRV8343 at effectively -12V, so the thresholds for the inputs probably aren't registering correctly. Could you try moving the GND connection to the net that AGND is attached to, and see if that solves the issue?

if the AGND is connected to the GND, the simulation does not converge.

Hi Alex,

Could you try supplying 3.3V to DVDD? On the actual device this pin is internally regulated from VM, but looking at the reference PSPICE design we provide with the model, I'm seeing a 3.3V supply hooked up to this pin instead of the 1uF capacitor.

Hi Garrett,
unfortunately, the simulation results are the same, as the results with the 1µF capacitor.

Hi Alex,

One more experiment to try: could you increase R9 to 1kohm? I'm wondering if the very low resistance is dropping out the VM supply when the MOSFET turns on, and if this sudden voltage swing could be causing the simulation to not converge.

Hi Alexander,

I'm not seeing anything obviously wrong in your testing setup, but I'm still seeing the errors on my side too. Are you able to simulate the example project that's included with the PSPICE model download?

Hi Garrett,
I did not recognize the example project until you wrote the message, so I spend some time on the example project.
I am able to simulate the example project easily,
but if I use some other sources for the pins INHA and INLA than I get the problem like in my own project (for example 0V and 3.3V DC-Voltage).
I think this fact could help.
