DRV8303EVM: Issues with Clock Frequency Mode control in GUI

Part Number: DRV8303EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8306, DRV8303, DRV8308, DRV8308EVM

Hello,

I'm trying to test the closed loop "clock frequency" mode functionality of this chip, but i am running into issues with the GUI download that comes with the board. Eventually I found a hint that the download version of the GUI has a bug related to the clock frequency dial and that you should use the cloud based gui instead. The cloud based gui works for the most part , but the "clk frequency" dial  in this version of the GUI only goes up to 100hz when the other version had it much higher. I'm fairly new to the TI landscape, but I tried to open the project in GUI composer and change the limit of the dial. After I did this I ran the gui again and all the widgets stopped working (you can click them but they didn't send any signals to change the motor) .

On the second attempt I re-imported the project into my gui composer and ran it with no changes. Everything works fine. Then, back in gui composer, I created a new unrelated dial widget on the side (shouldn't effect anything as it's an unrelated new widget). I Ran this gui and the all the widgets don't work again.

Whats going on? All I want is to change the frequency range of the "clk frequency" dial.

Eventually our goal is to use the control chip with a different MCU, so not getting the GUI to work isn't a deal-breaker. But on note that note, it would be nice if I could get access to the MCU's (MSP430)

firmware source code for the DRV8303EVM board.

Any help is appreciated,

Ilia
