DRV8873-Q1: DRV8873 PWM mode function

Hi all,

We are using DRV8873 in one of our project and we need to operate in PWM mode.

Our requirement is that OUT1 to be connected to high / 24V and OUT2 to be connected to GND with ability to apply PWM signal on OUT2 GND side while Keeping OUT1 in high state.

Is it possible in DRV8873 IC as per the above requirement?

What is the mode setting we need to do for above requirement.

Please clarify and explain for better understanding.

    Hi John,

    When PWM'ing OUT2 do you intend to have OUT2 transition from L to H or L to Hi-Z?

       If L to H, any of the modes can perform this operation.

    If L to Hi-Z, is it acceptable for both OUT1 and OUT2 to enter Hi-Z

       If yes, any of the modes can perform this operation.

       If no, any different device may be required.
