DRV8701: Can do braking?

Hello Guys,

Is DRV8701 capable of braking?

If not, Is there a way to make it performed braking?

Or are there any other motor driver for brushed DC motors, capable of driving motors at 100-130VDC with braking capability?

Hi Art,

By braking, do you mean setting both outputs low? Yes, the DRV8701E and DRV8701P can do this, but cannot operate at 100 - 130V.

If you need 100 - 130V, you probably need high voltage gate drivers like the LM5101.

Another option is to use two half bridges of the DRV835x devices, which has more protection features of the LM5101.
