Hi I have a requirement to drive 24V-300W Bi-polar stepper motor to drive.

Can i use DRV8711 as a reference with change in MOSFET & Current sense resistor to full fill my requirement?

Do you recommend any other in the product portfolio to meet high power stepper motor requirements.

    Hi Lakshmikanth,

    Yes you can use the DRV8711EVM as a reference with change of MOSFET and sense resistor.

    Please note the datasheet recommendation in section 8.1.2 "Optional Series Gate Resistor" which the EVM does not include.

    There are no other single products. There are some other gate drivers that could be used, but require external circuitry to control the current.
