My customer is considering to use the DRV8832. Could you support a question below from the customer about the motor speed control?
The customer wants to control motor speed. At first, the customer intended to control the speed by controlling the VSET pin with a DAC, but if the speed can be controlled by the PWM control to the IN pin, it is simple, so the customer would like to do so. Could you tell me the PWM frequency range that can be input to the IN pin?

The maximum external PWM frequency isn't listed in the datasheet. I would think setting 50kHz as the maximum external PWM frequency would be safe for DRV8832.

I think that the advantage of speed control with VSET-pin is to be able to maintain constant motor speed as described 7.3.3 Voltage Regulation. If customer has voltage regulator between battery and DRV8832, there is no advantage to use the VSET pin for motor speed control?
