DRV8353: DRV8353H : High Side Mosfet pins are damaged

Could you provide more details? I don't follow the difference here between the variable and non-variable power supply.

Yes Sure.

Variable means 0 to 35V Bench Type Power Supply. 

And Non- variable is 48V Fixed SMPS.

On Variable Supply it worked fine.

When supplied with Fixed supply, GHA and SHA pins got shorted with VM.

The bench power supply is likely operating faster or it has the capability to sync more current than the SMPS. What was the test condition when this occured?

Hello Adam,

Microcontroller was programmed with 100% duty cycle and drv8353 was running in 1x pwm mode. Connected motor was high speed motor with low inductance. As we switched on SMPS, motor slightly rotated and nFault went low. Then we found that GHA pin and VM became short. Other pins of DRV8353 and power stage seems fine

Did you ramp to 100% duty cycle? Was the input PWM running before you turned on the driver?

Firstly, the controller booted. 

Then PWM was delivered to the Driver.

Yes, Duty cycle was 100%[Without ramping].
