DRV8353R: Feedback Current Resolution

In the DRV8353x, there are 3 current amplifiers integrated used to sense the low side current. With the all error consideration as offset, gain, temp, how much high resolution it can achieve for motor application?

Input Voltage: 48V

Power Level: 400W

Motor Type: PMSM

If both DRV8350 and INA240 be used in such application, is that resolution better than DRV8353R/H? Very Thanks.

    Brian,

    The INA is a purpose built high performance CSA which is better than the built in DRV8353 CSA. Looking at cost, the INA240 costs ~2/3 the cost of our complete device and you would need three of the INA240 to cover the same triple CSA we have built in.

    Resolution isn't really a useful metric here. Could you explain the application and the needs for the CSA?
