DRV8353: DRV8353: DRV8353S: VGLS damage when Enable device

Hello expert,

We are facing strange issues with the DRV8353S.

The problem we are facing is:
Two drivers on two different custom PCBs were damaged for an unknown reason. For the first time to power PCB. When we apply VM to those drivers and enable them using ENABLE pin for the first time, VGLS was pulled down from 11.9V to 4.0V. When we disable the device, VGLS still down to 4.0V.

Our question:

We have attached the schematics. The levels on the digital part are 3.3V.

  • Do you see any potential schematics issue or weakness that can lead to this damages?
  • Have you any other ideas that can help us?

    Songzhen,

    I see that you have your SHx nodes shorted to GND at the half bridges, is there a reason for this?

    Other than this I don't see any big issues with the schematic.
