DRV8350: Compatibility between DRV8350 and DRV8320

Hey there,

Hopefully a simple question here...

We have a working design using the DRV8320S, and want to switch to the DRV8350S to increase our maximum voltage headroom.

I know there are some pin differences between the two parts, but is there anything else I should be aware of before switching the IC?

I am currently scouring the two datasheets for the differences (specifically in any differences in the SPI registers), but I'm wondering if there's any subtle differences that could be easy to miss and cause us some trouble.

    Josh,

    Other than the pin differences the main other notable difference is that the DRV8320 needs VM and VDRAIN to remain close in voltage since the charge pump operates off VM and the FETs are powered by VDRAIN. The DRV8350 uses VDRAIN for the charge pump so VM can actually be much lower than VDRAIN and the device still has all the correct references as needed.
