170VDC FOC Motor Driver

Hello,

My customer is looking at trapexoid vs FOC motor control design. They currently use 170VDC isolated design (between controller and motor gate drive circuits with hall effect sensors for feedback)

I was wondering if TI has 170VDC FOC motor controllers? Power output 250-600W per motor.

Additionally, do 170VDC motor drives FOC use isolated or non-isolated system between controller and motor gate drive system? Or do isolated systems with FOC add too much delay for FOC to work?

Any recommendations as well as any app notes in regards to motor controller design for 170VDC isolated vs non-isolated design would be very helpful!

All of the C2000 MCUs can implement FOC for such motor drive applications. You might find the related C2000 based application notes, software, and tools for the motor drive from the link below.

The same FOC algorithm based on C2000 MCUs can be used for both isolation or non-isolation inverter board, the isolation delay has little impact on the FOC performance if using a right isolator and sensor.
