DRV8323: Confusion regarding the input pins of current sense amplifier.

Part Number: DRV8323

Hi,

I'm having a confusion regarding the input pins of current sense amplifier.

In datasheet the Fig 38 shows that the SPx is connected to the negative terminal of Current sense amplifier.

But under the section 8.6.2.5 CSA Control Register it is given the SPx will be connected to positive input of Current sense amplifier.

Can you please clarify this doubt.

Thanks.

  • Abhishek,

We still consider the SPx terminal the positive input of the CSA even if internally it goes to the "-" input of the amplifier since the SPx node is usually higher in voltage than the SNx node which should be GND.

    Regards,
