DRV8874: Can i use 1 bulk capacitor (100uf) in VM for 4 DRV8874 ic´s?

VM = 12v

VM powers 4 DRV8874, each one with a bulk capacitor of 100uf/25v near the VM pin.

Can i use only 1 bulk capacitor of 100uf/25v for all drivers? Is it best to place it near the ic or near the power supply?

Carlos,

You can use one 100uF bulk capacitor if there is no overshoot when the motor is break or back drive by customers. I would think it is better to put that capacitor near the motor drivers.
