DRV8353: Gate driver error while connecting DC motor

Part Number: DRV8353

Hi all,

For a DC motor drive application we're using the DRV8353S in independant PWM mode. We've got mosfets populated on the A and the B half bridge. On INHA our pwm is supplied while INLA and INHB are kept low and INLB is set high. Our register setup is the default values as specified in the datasheet with the PWM mode set to '11' Independant PWM mode. Idrive setttings are all set to 100mA. When the gate driver is programmed and enabled the fault line lights up caused by a gate drive fault on the C low-side mosfet, however none is populated and no high signal is driven to either INLC and INHC. We've also tried to use the 1 PWM mode with INLA and INLB high and INHB low to switch between commutation 3 and 6 by toggling the INHC line. However the same gate drive fault pops up on the phase C low side fet which is not populated as it is not needed. Is there any way to use this driver for this purpose?

Regards,

P. Beckers
