DRV8106-Q1: Using the DRV8106 as in integrated high-side pre-driver

Hi Mike,

I will need to check with the team if there will be any issues with the integrated protection features.  I created a quick picture for purposes of conversation.  Does it approximate what you're wanting to do?  Would current always be flowing from A to B, or would this be a bidirectional switch?

Thanks for the reply, at a high level that does show my application (though I could connect SLx to ground and GLx through a cap to ground if that helps).  I would plan to allow (and cut off) current from both directions.  Node A would always have voltage present in range for the DRV8106, though Node B could have between 0V and slightly more than A volts.

Looks like my reply didn't post.  We are creating a board for testing this application.  Overall looks very doable, but there are a few items we would like to test before saying "go for it".  Boards should be back mid December, and preliminary results before the holidays.  Understandable if that timeframe doesn't work for you.

Yes, testing is ongoing and so far looking good.  At the moment tests have been completed in the forward direction, and now looking at behavior in the reverse direction.
