Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC1625-SP
Hello,
Whenever I try to run a motor (I'm using a maxon 272763) with no load, the system triggers constant current mode on my power supply constantly while the motor is spinning (I have it set to ~2A, but the current shown on the power supply is ~0.85-1.5A and the no-load current draw should be less than 0.5 A). Upon looking at the PU and PD pins, there appears to be some repeating disturbance in the PUC pin output. I've attached some pictures of the PU and PD pin output waveforms below. For these waveforms, I'm giving the chip and the motor 14V and sending a 2.6V signal to pin 1 on the chip.
The circuit I am using is almost identical to the reference design from the datasheet with some minor changes: the MOSFETs are replaced with HP8M51TB1 MOSFETs, the diodes are changed, Rt = 51 kOhm and Ct = 30 nF, and instead of using a potentiometer to feed a voltage to pin 1, I am feeding a PWM signal through a low-pass filter to generate an analog voltage (although during this testing I'm just giving it a constant voltage using a power supply).
I've attached a schematic of my circuit here:
Any sort of advice or possible leads on what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Daniel
