HI,

I received DRV8847EM yesterday. but it didn't connect my laptop.

Any other port not work too.

How to I get solve this issue?

Hi MinKyu,

When you connect the EVM to the PC, is the STATUS LED blinking?

Have you tried restarting the GUI and trying to reconnect the EVM?

Did you select the correct device from the Device Selection page? If you have the DRV8847EVM, you have to choose DRV8847. If you have the DRV8847SEVM, you have to select DRV8847S. The EVM will not connect if the wrong DRV8847 variant is chosen.

Hi Pablo,

The LED was not blinking but just on.

Even after restart, it still won't connect.

And I choosen DRV8847 correctly.

But it doesn't work yet.

Hi MinKyu,

Can you try the following procedure and let me know if this works:

Connect EVM to PC
Provide power to the board from external supply (VM)
Open the GUI (make sure it is the latest revision which can be found here: https://www.ti.com/tool/DRV8847EVM)
Select the DRV8847 variant
Wait a few seconds and the device should connect (a green check will appear near the top left of the screen)

Let me know if this doesn't work.
