DRV8889-Q1EVM: seems connected , just get green light flashing

Part Number: DRV8889-Q1EVM

I have been trying the 8889 ev kit but can’t get it to turn the stepper.
tried another stepper just in case. Using 12 volts supply

I get it to connect but no action from the motor, just a slowly blinking light on the dev board.

Any suggestions?

Hello, Ajayt,

The green led blinking indicates the EVM MSP430 MCU is running. Could you take the GUI home page screen shoot?

Since the issue was closed after a WebEx meeting, I will close this post.

WebEx meeting summary:

1. Uninstall the 1.0.0 version GUI and GUI composer runtime if is needed.

2. Download the GUI from https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/slvc796 and unzip the 1.1.7 version GUI.

3. Install the GUI.
